Aye aye sir...
Liked Leunig in the Age this morning. For those who missed it, an
inadequate alternative - just imagine those mournful Leunig figures -
a little guy says quietly: "The September 11 terrorist attacks were evil
and tragic, however - " and a mean-looking sheriff type says: "did you say
HOWEVER?"
Then he's stooped before a judge, who says: "You are charged with
howevering. How do you plead?" - and he says shamefacedly: "I think I was
suffering from temporary individuality"
So the judge says: "I order that you be taken from this place to a
stainless steel chamber where you shall be strapped to a chair in front of
a television and administered with a massive dose of hamburgers and
anti-depressants -
"The war against Howeverism could take years but we are patient people and
we will win - MAKE NO MISTAKE!"
