Thanks for this link, Michael--long time since I'd read any Schnackenberg,
and I've always admired the intelligence of her poetry. Seeing the poems
from _Supernatural Love_ recalled how exciting it was in mid-1970s Amherst,
Mass., when this undergraduate at Mt. Holyoke (was it? Or Smith?) suddenly
burst on the scene, with her extraordinarily mature, serious poems appearing
in major mags that were (and always would be) beyond the reach of--or
otherwise closed to--many of us.
And all that snow! Got me where I lived then and just gave me a breath of
wintergreen in the overheated here and now (as you'll appreciate, I'm sure).
