On the other hand, one could just 'kind of' worship all those gods & goddesses.
I would heartily recommend, just as a very good read, Lewis Hyde's great
_Trickster Makes the World: Mischief, Myth, and Art_, which just by the by
happens to be one of the best 'defences' of polytheism I've come across in
recent years...
