LECTURERS/TEACHING FELLOWS (3 POSTS)
Statistics, Operational Research and Information Systems
Salary Range: £18731 to £30967 and exceptionally £34,601
We are looking for people committed to high quality teaching and
research in the above areas. For the posts in Statistics and
Operational Research teaching and research interests in any of the
sub-areas of these subjects are acceptable. For the IS post
applicants should have a research interest in Information Systems
strategy and/or Systems Development. Knowledge of Spreadsheets and
Databases, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and an interest in Intranet
and World Wide Web applications would be an advantage.
It is envisaged that Teaching Fellowships will be offered where
candidates show research potential, but have not yet satisfied the
lectureship criteria. Therefore a willingness to engage in research
(including registering for a PhD where appropriate) would be an
advantage for applications at this level.
Lectureships are normally offered for an initial period of five years
in the expectation of a continuing appointment being offered during
the period of the fixed term. Teaching Fellowships will be offered on
a fixed term of five years in anticipation of a transfer to a
Lectureship on or before the termination of the fixed term.
