MUSIC IN CONTEXT
in the Conference Centre at the British Library
These three concerts are the first of an annual series, being mounted by
the British Library in co-operation with London colleges of music. They
will include performances of music whose primary manuscript source is in
the collections of the British Library and of works by composers
associated with the co-operating college. They have been made possible by
a grant from the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation, by courtesy of the
American Trust for the British Library, and are a continuation of the
British Library Stefan Zweig programme, which was instituted in 1986 to
mark the donation to the Library of the Stefan Zweig Collection of Musical
and Literary Autographs.
