As a result of my Research Leave for one year from April 2001 the Music
Department, The University of Reading, is seeking teaching for the
following courses in Autumn-Spring 2001-02:
Pt II (Yr 2) Analysis, 20 + 20 hours class tuition (Thursdays, 11.00-1.00)
plus some individual tutorial support (coursework). In 2001-02, about 15
students are expected to enroll for this course, which will normally
contribute 20% of the overall assessment for the year.
Pt III (Yr 3) Analysis, 20 + 20 hours class tuition (Wednesdays,
11.00-1.00) plus some individual tutorial support (coursework and extended
essays). In 2001-02, about 10 students are expected to enroll for this
course, which will normally contribute 50% of the overall assessment for
the year, or 25% for students taking a modular degree.
It is hoped that one teacher may be in a position to cover both courses,
but the appointment of individual course teachers is not excluded.
The current syllabus can be viewed at Music on <www.rdg.ac.uk>. However,
the contents of the course can be adapted to suit the research interests
and teaching experience of the person(s) appointed. Teachers at Reading
are given Visiting Lecturer status with normal access to our comprehensive
staff facilities.
If you are interested please contact me in the first instance, with a copy
of your c.v. and any comments you think we may find helpful. Details of
the employment will be discussed eventually with my Head of Department, Dr
Christopher Wilson.
