A 1940's A.B. cutter is stiil in use at Hopewell Colliery in the Forest
of Dean and there is a nice example in the Mining Museum at Le Molay
Littry in Normandy,on a rather splendid 50's mock up longwall face
complete with becorit props etc,
I think the one in Dean is a 12" tho at 3 tons I hate to think what a big
one is like.
