The Department of Health Library at Skipton House in London has a
collection of pamphlets that we would like to donate to another Library or
organisation.
The collection covers many subjects and includes material relating to:
healthcare management; First and Second World Wars (civil defence, effects
of radiation etc); health economics; hospital histories; public health;
noise pollution and health; climate and its effect on health;
labour/industrial relations; pest control, and much more.
The pamphlets are classified using the old Bliss scheme and are divided
into 4 runs: pre-1965; 1965-1974; 1975-1979; 1980- . The pre-1965 material
includes pamphlets dating from the beginning of the 20th century and some
from the end of the 19th century.
The collection takes up 96 x 1 metre shelves. Interested parties are
welcome to take the entire collection, or just selected items as
required. Delivery can be arranged.
