NATIONAL INFORMATION POLICY DEVELOPMENTS WORLDWIDE
The Library Association, with Resource (The Council for Museums, Archives
and Libraries), are commissioning research into developments in national
information policies worldwide and are looking for a researcher to
undertake this project. It will involve desk research and will be
undertaken from mid-June to mid-September this year. The results will feed
into the work of a Policy Advisory Group established by The Library
Association to review its policy on national information policy. The
research will help inform our assessment of progress towards a national
information policy in the UK, suggest areas for development and identify
potential international collaborators. Resource has provided the funding
for the research project and is represented on the Policy Advisory Group.
The researcher will be paid £6000 for undertaking and completing the
project, inclusive of expenses. The closing date for applications to do
this research is Thursday 31 May 2001.
