AUDIO FOR THE WEB

The use of sound can create and enhance web content.
This is a new course which is offered by BUFVC in response to the needs of
the academic community. Illustrating real uses, such as libraries and
archiving, lecturing and distance learning, this course will give
participants the technical and practical knowledge required to handle audio
material successfully.
The day covers production and reuse of audio material, associated
copyrights, explaining and demystifying technical terminology, and storing,
compressing and delivering content. There is also time allotted for
discussion and questions.
Intended audience: audio visual and computer service providers, librarians,
archivists.
Cost per person, per course, including light lunch and refreshments:
GBP 120 (inc VAT); member's discount rate: GBP 100.00 (inc VAT).
The British Universities Film & Video Council exists to promote the study
and use of moving images in education and research. It runs a regular
programme of one-day courses.
