Netscape and Microsoft email software also allows you to specify the maximum
size of messages you receive, using facilities such as Tools>Inbox
Assistant>Advanced in Microsoft Outlook or in Netscape Messenger:
Edit>Preferences>Mail & Newsgroups>Disk Space, Do not store messages locally
that are larger than ... kb. If you set the maximum to 50kb, for example,
messages over that size will not be delivered. I like the idea of sending
bigger attachments back - how about a .wav file of Wagner's Ring Cycle?
Trouble is you'll have to pay to send it...
