Steve - and anyone else using My Millennium
At Leeds we are interested in it, but worried about users "logging on" to
the catalogue on public PCs in the Library - which do not require an
operating system login/logoff. Users walk away and the PC is there in the
catalogue for the next user. But if the first user has "logged on" and the
screens have been personalised, then we are worried about the reaction of
the next user who will see something strange (we would need to insist on
revalidating on any transaction screens such as reservations or re-display of
the user record).
And of course there is no way of excluding these Library PCs from the My
Millennium implementation since it is all or nothing - no login or IP
restriction possible.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
