Can I just make a minor point of information regarding Gillian Anderson's
Britain-Cork boat and train itinerary, namely that after arriving in Dublin
(Connolly) from the boat, it is necessary to cross Central Dublin to join the
Cork train at Dublin (Heuston). If the boat arrives even a little late, this
could make it difficult to connect with the 17.50 service to Cork.
On a related point, I would suggest to those travelling by air and who have
not yet booked their flight that it might be wise to consider travelling with
a carrier other than Ryanair. A number of people have recently been let down
rather badly by Ryanair flight cancellations, and this company has a
reputation for unhelpful treatment of passengers who are affected by serious
delays or cancellations. You may be saving money, but if you can afford a
little extra, I would recommend booking with another airline.
