Refugee research: internship opportunity
UNHCR's Evaluation and Policy Analysis Unit wishes to
engage an intern to assist with a study titled
'Promoting livelihoods in protracted refugee
situations'. The primary purpose of the internship
will be to conduct a literature search and review on
issues such as protracted refugee situations; the
livelihood strategies of refugees; the
socio-economic impact of refugee populations; and
refugee/host population interactions. Applicants
should have excellent academic credentials, a
familiarity with refugee issues and literature
and the abiilty to work in an independent manner.
Some understanding of development economics and
first-hand experience of refugee situations would be
an advantage. While the internship is based in
Geneva, some of the work could be undertaken in
another location.
If you wish to be considered for this internship,
