devlopers.

P.S. I think is the case that UK pound symbols get gtranslated into 'A3' in
jiscmail digests - so that should read grants of five thousand to fifty
thousand, rather than thirty-five thousand to three hundred and fifty
thousand pounds! (but we can dream ...)

Subject: "Your Heritage" - New Grant Scheme from the Heritage Lottery Fund

List members may be interested to know about a recently launched awards
scheme from the Heritage Lottery Fund, called "Your Heritage". The =
scheme
will award grants for projects that:
- Care for and protect our heritage; or
- Increase understanding and enjoyment of our heritage;
- give people a better opportunity to experience heritage by improving
access;
- help to improve people's quality of life by benefiting the community =
and
wider public.
The scheme will support activities that:
- are designed to increase learning about our heritage, for people of =
all
ages and backgrounds;
- aim to widen participation especially from people who have not been
involved in heritage before, and disadvantaged groups;
- increase popular involvement in recording and conserving the =
heritage;
- involve volunteers and the local community in our heritage.
The key features of the scheme are:
- It offers grants between =A35,000 and =A350,000 (but the total cost =
of any
project receiving an award must be more than =A35,500 and less than =
=A3100,000)
- Applicants must raise at least 10% of the projects costs
- It is available throughout the UK
- Decisions on funding are usually made 3 months after the application =
form
is received
- A pre-application form can be submitted if applicants are unsure =
whether
their project is suitable
