Welcome to FISH - I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Just for information, if any subscriber is overwhelmed by the volume they
can receive a digest of all the messages in one day as a single email (see
below) or they can simply review the messages sent on the list archive page
at http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/fish.html - for instance click on
December 2001 to see this months messages.
Within each months messages, the messages can be sorted by topic (ie Subject
line) or into the order posted, or by authors name by using the buttons at
the top of the screen. This can help identify the messages that are of
particular interest (as long as we all make careful use of the Subject
line...).
Howver, I agree, Anthony, that summaries of the discussion are needed
especially for those who don't have time to keep up with the whole
discusison - as you say Jasons email is a model posting to the list in this
respect.
