I used to teach the following for a college poetry class:
Dante's _Inferno_, Bergman's _The Seventh Seal_, and questions regarding
evil and mortality
Milton's _Paradise Lost_, Truffaut's _The 400 Blows_, and the loss of
innocence
Shakespeare's _Hamlet_, de Sica's _The Bicycle Thief_, and a world of
tragedy
Goethe's _Faust: Part I_, Kubrick's _Dr. Strangelove_, and issues regarding
power and forbidden knowledge
Also, check out http://www.aesthetics-online.org/ and locate that list of
films with philosophical content.

Subject: syllabi
Hello all,
I am new to this list, and have a request if I may... I will be teaching
Philosophy and Film in the spring, and would love to see other people's
syllabi and/or find an archive of this type of information, if possible.
Thanks in advance,
Melissa Clarke, Ph.D.
