Just a clarification of an earlier point. "It's A Wonderful Life" was
virtually an unknown film prior to 1971 (check any film history book
published before then and try to find a reference), but the copyright expired
and it fell into public domain.Hence the many annual showings on every
channel........
I've been told that in Britain, "The Great Escape" is shown every Xmas..Can
anyone explain that?
