Following the success of the 'Charles Booth Online Archive'
http://booth.lse.ac.uk/ - we are now investigating the reproduction of the
individual 12 maps descriptive of London poverty for sale. Initial
experiments with scanning for printing have been disappointing with the
colours (which are vital to the impact of the map) lacking the 'punch' of
the original printed maps.
I know that many offices do have reproductions of maps for sale and hope
that colleagues might be able to share suggestions and experiences about
both the technical aspects of the map production and the marketing of the
products. We have already made some investigations about commercial
partnerships as we do not have any sale outlets in the Library.
Thanks
