Archivists
(Two posts - 12 month contracts)
Salary : £18,909 - £20,865 inc. p. a.
The Archives Division of the British Library of Political and Economic
Science is responsible for the care and promotion of the archive and rare
books collections of the Library which include the archives of the Fabian
Society, Liberal Party, Bronislaw Malinowski, anthropologist, and Sidney and
Beatrice Webb. The Library is committed to the on-going development of its
services to archive users and is seeking to make 2 one-year appointments to
the Archives Division both in support of developing on-line access to its
catalogues.
Archivist HE Archives Hub (12 month contract)
The Archives Division has been awarded funding to support the production of
collection level descriptions for inclusion in the HE Archives Hub supported
by JISC. The Archives Division is seeking to appoint and archivist who will
be responsible for the production of content for the Archives Hub. The post
will have 2 portions: the first 6 months of the post will be assigned to
the production of collection level escriptions for the HE Archives Hub
project. During the second 6 months of the project the archivist will
participate in a full range of duties within the Archives Division including
public services, enquiries, archival description and outreach.

Archivist (12 month contract)
The Archives Division is currently developing an on-line archive catalogue
and is seeking to appoint an archivist to support this work.. The post
holder will work on the upgrading of existing catalogues for inclusion in
the online database. In addition they will participate in all aspects of the
Archives Division's work including public services, enquiries, archival
description and outreach.
