We are looking to reintroduce testing for urinary cystine and although
happy with the sensitivity of the nitroprusside test, would like to
substitute Sodium Cyanide for a less toxic reagent. I seem to remember
reading many years ago that there was an alternative. Does anyone have a
reference or experience of using an alternative to cyanide?
