May we now see all homeopathic practitioners registered with the GMC being
struck off en masse? It seems to be the logical corollary.
Perhaps the practitioner in question's biggest mistake is that he didn't
treat Royalty, unlike some of the homeopaths.
Surely the first question the GMC need to ask is did he do any harm? If he
confined himself to treating the 50 or 60% of patients who attend general
practitioners with functional disorders for which no cause can be found, can
any of us be sure that some of these patients might not be made to feel
better by the exhibition of a bit of desiccated thyroid? (Prion free - of
course)
