The debate about prolactin responses to grand mal fits is
misleading. The question asked by most clinicians is not "I wonder
whether the the prolactin rose after my patient fitted?" but "my
patient has collapsed did he/she have a siezure as the cause of
the collapse?". Does anyone know what the prolaction response is
following such collapses eg slipped on the ice, or vasovagal
collapse, or AMI etc?
