I completely agree. I think that the problem is that since moving to
the new list-server the system seems to be set so that you
automatically reply to the individual who sent the question /
email. This means you have to make the deliberate effort to
add the zooarch email address to your email. (Your recipient will
then presumably get two copies of your answer).
I seem to remember that the system under mailbase automatically
replied to zooarch and then you could add any individual names if you
wanted. It used to be an effort to reply off list, in other words.
I don't know if you and Jacqui have any influence over this, but if
it was possible to change it so the automatic response was to send
the reply to all people on the list then you would be able to use
natural human inertia to get the list going again.
Hmmm, now I don't know whether to post this to the list or not......
