I've some information in Portugal about modern communities eating lynx
(Iberian Lynx = "Lynx pardina"). Though rare in Portugal today, lynx was
hunted and eaten by rural people until the 40s when it disappeared in most
places (actually it was considered a titbit) . This information has given to
me by Luís Palma, a biologist in University of Algarve, that studies the
lynx ecology in the small areas where until recently lynx was found.
