Dear all,
I have observed several times cattle gnawing long bones in Corsica, where
they have calcium deficiency. I even stole two of these bones from the mouth
of cattles, and I have them here in the collections of the museum. They show
characteristic marks, that have been often observed also on archaeological
bones on islands, where Plaistocene cervids frequently gnawed bones.
