Places are still available for the 18th Biennial Residential School,
organised by Institution of Highways and Transportation, Yorkshire
& Humberside Branch.
Theme: Transport in the 21st Century.
Venue: University College of Ripon & York St John, Ripon Campus.
Date 10-12 April 2001
This popular event will provide an opportunity for younger members
of the profession to expand their knowledge of future trends in
transport, as seen by experts from local authorities, operators,
consultants and academia. The residential nature of the school
allows a chance to discuss the issues raised in a relaxed manner
and will provide the opportunity to meet senior members of the
profession.
As part of the school, the Chief Executive of IHT has agreed to
provide a speaker to outline the way in which the Institution can
provide routes to Chartered Status. This part of the school will be
open to all those interested, and will be followed by an informal
evening meal.
The school counts as two days CPD.
