On the assumption that there may still be members of this list using black
hardware, I thought I would report that I successfully changed the big
roller on my printer which pulls the paper into the machine. Years of
abuse -- recently with CD-R labels, for which postscript is ideal -- caused
this roller to lose either diameter or traction, and pushing the paper
through manually became tedious.
This is apparently a common problem and the solutino to it may be found at
www.channelu.com/NeXT/ , which gives details of the procedure and a means
of purchasing refurbished rollers for a reasonable price. The procedure
takes about an hour maximum.
Now, does anyone know that I shall be able to do when my monitor tube
finally dies?
