Dear Nicholas
I have just had an email from Swets Blackwell to say that Addiction (T&F)
will no longer be free with print from next January. I don't know whether
this affects other T&F titles.

Subject: Journal Subscription Options for 2002 revisited - Who's changed
arrangements?
Following on from last month's discussions, I'd find it helpful to bring
together our shared knowledge of Publishers whose access arrangements for
online have changed from free online with hard copy (2001) to a revised
charging structure (for 2002). Going back through the list we have so far:
No longer offering free online with hard copy:-
John Wiley
American Physiological Society (APS)
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
CABI Publishing
Continuing to offer free online with hard copy:-
Sage
Blackwell Publishers (now incorporating Science, Publishers & Munksgaard)
I realise this summary may be a bit of a simplification, but it does serve
to 'flag up' where individual institutions may wish to take some pre-emptive
action. If anyone would like to add to this list over the next few weeks and
reply to me direct, I will offer to summarise for the list. Publishers are
welcome to join in too or correct us if we get it wrong! This exercise is
designed to share information, not to make any value judgements about
whether or not these extra charges should now apply for 2002.
Remember this is just for those publishers changing from offering free
online with hard copy in 2001 to implementing a charging model of some kind
for online for 2002.
If people don't feel this is helpful, then please ignore!
Regards
Nick
