For those of you interested in environmental (science) education, the
NARST Ad Hoc Committee on Environmental Science Education would like
you to note the following for next week's NARST conference in St. Louis,
US:
1) Two symposia that may be of special interest:
"Connections between science education and environmental (science)
education standards" Monday 1-2:30pm - Strand 5 (Curriculum, Evaluation,
and Assessment)[Paper soon to be available via

"Conference Papers."]
"Relations between science education and environmental (science)
education" Tuesday 8:30-10am - Strand 8 (History, Philosophy, and
Epistemology)[ Paper available via
http://www.nku.edu/~scienceed/dr__yvonne_meichtry.htm under the heading
"Conference Papers.")
2) About 20 presentations that explicitly focus on environmental(science)
education. The attached document lists these presentations, as extracted
from the preliminary program.
3) The Ad Hoc Committee on Environmental Science Education will be meeting
on Tuesday 8:30-10:30pm (at the same time as the Special Interest Group
meetings) and anyone with an interest in environmental (science) education
is invited. Please bring your thoughts on activities for the next year
and beyond!
