If my memory serves me correctly, it is not the Oestradiol, but the Testosterone added to the Oestradiol reagent to release all Oestradiol from binding proteins that caused the problems with the original Testosterone assay on the Immulite.
I don't know if the I2000 uses the same reagents, but presume it does.
The problem/solution then was due to damaged internal coating on the probes and reagent carryover, solution was either to batch or use a special wash once a day for about 10 minutes.
It would be interesting to ask DPC if this is still the case, originally they were very wary about giving us any info, but about 1 week after we commented, sent a note to all users suggesting batching of Testosterone samples.
