Clearly a teaching hospital response! Away from the world of bloated senior staff rotas, where the seniors spend their time doing useful work :-), the calls are handled by the MLSOs and if any particular person continually asks for extras they are dealt with personally by senior staff [and no we don't use baseball bats, just rubber hoses filled with lead shot which leave fewer marks].

Subject: Re: Laboratory request forms
We refer all requests for additional tests to clinical or senior scientific
staff and this means THEY spend all day fielding the calls.
