Dear Friends,
Another problem which is so common in post partum
ladies is pain in the SIJ (Sacroiliac joints ) pain in decumbency
and relief on movements is so very typical sign in these cases .Treatment
is on similar lines ,supportive corset exercise glutei's.
Pathogenesis of pain ,Well I thinks sacroiliac joint movement/strain when
they are least stabilized i.e in decumbency triggers pain.
IT can be seen in prenatal and post natal cases.
Please let us know,
1. ice or heat ,heat will increase local circulation ,reduce muscle spasm.
hence increase movement and pain
2.TENS/IFT , are these modalities useful.
