Dear Kevin: thanks for the information & detail of your study. I was
interested in your observations re autonomic functions. I assume from your
answer that did you attempt to "map" the back (a la Head & McKenzie). I do
agree that case study will serve the profession ( and patients )quite well -
but, alas, we are in the "Reductionism" mode whereby statistics (and
researchers not experienced, or even avoid, in clinical reality) rule the
roost. For future attempts, galvanic skin responses, and similar ANS
functions can be recorded. Equipment is somewhat costly, but available in
many physiology labs.
