There is a wonderful display of medieval (and earlier) bibles, Psalters etc
at the British Library, celebrating the second millennium. They include the
Codex Siniaticus, the Luttrell Psalter and many other priceless manuscripts
I never hoped to see. I stumbled on to the exhibition by accident and
considered that alone worth the trip. I don't know how long it will be
there. I have a vague recollection only through Jan. but someone on the list
will know.

Dear list members,
I need your help.
My wife and I are retired. We travel occasionally, and we hope to be in
London for a couple weeks in February. I have a negligible knowledge of
the scholarly resources available there. Thus I turn to you for
assistance. What three things -- as a student of medieval religion --
should I ensure we see during that visit? <My particular interest in the
religion of the medieval period lies in the fact that it is the soil from
which the Lutheran Reformation sprang.>
I think I would find the reasoning behind your choices most helpful.
There is no need to clutter the list with your responses to this request;
I shall be delighted for any replies I receive on- or off-list. You can
rest assured that you are helping me to learn something before my brains
completely and irrevocably turn to porridge.
Many, many thanks!
Frank
