Another terrific book worth having on the shelf is
Alison Sim's 'Food and Feast in Tudor England'. No
recipes, folks, so you can breathe a sigh of relief,
but a stunningly good overview of concepts of
nutrition and diet in the Tudor period, contrasted
with the customs of feasting in the manner of the
Manor (so to speak)!
