Can anyone on the list versed in muscle energy, chiropractic, or physio, please help me with some ideas for a patient of mine.
She has left lateral hip pain aggravated by sitting and end ROM lumbar flexion. On examination she appears to have a backward sacral torsion and posterior innominate. L5-S1 is tender ipsilaterally. There was a large amount of erector spinae spasm, which is slowly settling. Left piri, glut med, hamstrings are tight. There is limited medial rotation of the left hip.
Treatment thus far has included unilateral L5-S1 mobes, manips, shotgun and muscle energy to backward sacral torsion and posterior innominates, trigger points to piri, glut med, deep tissue masage to hamstrings and erector spinae, hip mobes with lateral glides into medial rotation, SNAGS to the sacrum, various taping techniques. When she sits after treatment the pain is apparently exactly the same by the time she gets home.
I cannot think of what else could be wrong, except if I have completely assessed her incorrectly but I have gone over it all again on each consultation. Usually these problems resolve for me in a couple of treatments.
HELP!!!! thanks in anticipation....
