Apologies for any cross posting.
I have been asked to circulate the following message from East
Dunbartonshire libraries. I have not heard of any other Scottish
libraries' ILL services being affected by the Unison action but if
anyone out there does have information, would be pleased to know about
it. Equally, if you could forward this message to any other relevant
e-mail list which I've not covered, it would be appreciated.
The East Dunbartonshire (QZ/Q76) message reads:
East Dunbartonshire Libraries van service has been affected by the
selective industrial action being taken by Unison. At the moment, we
are
not able to return items borrowed via inter-library loan. All items
awaiting return are being carefully stored in our branch libraries, and
will be returned when the selective action is finished.
In the meantime, we are able to deal with incoming inter-library loan
requests (if the items are held in the William Patrick Library,
Kirkintilloch) and these will be posted to the requesting libraries.
Any
items that are on the shelf in any of our other libraries are not
currently
available because they cannot be despatched to the requesting library.
<End>
Thanks.
