Hi all,
Did anyone make it to the "Surveillance and Society" conference in the
Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Hull
on September 20? I wasn't able to go but would be very interested in
hearing something about what went on. Any chance of a report on the
conference for the list?
My own work is in the area of popular film and television. I'm
particularly interested in self-surveillance and self-management and
the connections between media forms and broader strategies of
surveillance coming under the ambit of 'governmentality'. Recently
I've been working on broadcast amateur video on British TV.
I know lots of folk have joined the list recently - what kinds of work
are others doing?
Cheers,
Nicole
