As one of our more whimsical and slightly fey list members, (and that's a

the PHYSIO list, and the physiotherapy world resource on interesting things.
His perspective is unique, and that is good for us all.

Heather,
Thank you very much for writing this. I must admit that I was compelled to
look up the word "fey" to be sure I understood you. I see that it has many
meanings including "hostile" (from the old High German "feigi"),
"otherworldly," "doomed," "crazy," and "touched." The one definition I
liked was "visionary," and, believe me, I was glad to see it. In short,
this is one heck of a word, and it's interesting to note that it might be
used to describe the person who complained about my post. He can take his
pick, as did I.
What I hope to generate by writing all that I do is a discussion of the
issues presented. I rarely get that despite the fact that my opinions and
references must be outrageous to many in our community. Maybe if Richard
took a few minutes to read the essays offered he'd have something to
contribute. I can't imagine that he is hurt in any way by my announcing
their presence. After all, I didn't refer to him as fey myself.
Thank you for allowing me to post here Heather. For nearly 5 years the list
has been an important part of my professional life.
