Dear Jim,
I believe the use of a cross nimbus for the Lamb should be read as the lamb
of the sacrifice, hence in intimate relationship to the figure of Christ. I
don't know about the "Dove of the Holy Spirit" as the three persons of the
T. were separate--perhaps someone could address this theology. As for
Christ at the Last Supper, this is still the youthful Christ,
pre-sacrifice. The cross designates his post-cruciformity, as it were.
