Clint,
The Cursor Mundi reference is at lines 21727-21761 and beyond. There it
mentions that the cross is made of "faur and tre," being four corners and
three types of wood (which is then carried out to the seven arts, man's body
being made of seven parts, etc). I am terribly interested in the legend of
the cross, and would love for you to keep me posted on your "half baked
notions" ! I've been collecting references and stashing them away along with
my own half baked ideas for the past two years. I should finally be able to
begin my dissertation soon and hope to pull out of the gems I've had to file
away.
Be well,
Karolyn
