Cecilia,
You might look at the splendid series of miracle windows in
Canterbury Cathedral, which can be best accessed in the works of
Madeline Caviness, Christ Church Cathedral Canterbury, Corpus
Vitrearum Medii Aevi, Great Britain II (London, British Academy,
1981); and idem, The Early Stained Glass of Canterbury Cathedral,
c.1175-1220 (Princeton, 1977). I'm not sure if it counts as "petty",
but when Jordan FitzEisulf forgot to donate money at Becket's shrine
in exchange for the revival of a dead son, Becket carried another son
off in death. Obviously not a saint to mess with.
Cheers,
Jim Bugslag
