Chadwyck-Healey was acquired by Bell & Howell recently. You might ask B&H
directly if they might offer individual access, but most of the database
companies are geared to the library market. Each agency that signs
licenses accepts limitations on use.
A more promising approach for Independent scholars is that of the Iter
project, access to which can be gotten my members of the Renaissance
Society of America. Perhaps the Medieval Academy could be lobbied to seek
such access to AASS for members.
