Agincourt but, being the very symbol of English military nationalism - all
the more so because it was then being defeated, was naturally included.
The "band of brothers" vision has been used in many different contexts, as
you can imagine. The wildest occurred during the recent attempt to
impeach President Clinton when that stout elderly representative whose
name I wisely forget (the one who had had a long-running affair with a
married woman when, I hope, he was younger and more handsome) used it - of
all possible texts! - to describe the members of his committee.
