Ive just read a copy of 'Bureaucratic Barriers to Normal Day-to-Day
Activity', produced by Muscle Power.
It reports on the actual experiences of people with neuromuscular
impairments.
The report strongly recommends that individuals prepare and
maintain a 'Personal Profile' which could be used to communicate
needs to service provides from a range of different agencies. It is
highlighted as a simple solution that may overcome much red tape
in one move and should prevent the need for people to be
repeatedly assessed by several agencies.
Im keen to hear
a) How commonly this idea is used
b) How useful it is in practice
