Dear Rebecca,
you don't need to worry about your qualifications. I am sure I am not alone
in not being a doctor of something - I am in the final year of a BA course
although I do have a degree and a career in a completely unrelated area.
Last year one of my courses was particularly relevant to the group 'The
English Family 1350-1720' and I found it very interesting to read the
postings and get a flavour of the period. Your subject area sounds very
interesting and I wish you luck with your MA. I hope to start mine next
year though haven't decided in which area.
One of the most interesting courses I have done so far related to your
subject. It was called 'Magic, Science and Religion: Conceptions of
rationality' and tried to get inside the changes that have taken place in
attitudes over the last 100 years or so.
Very best of luck with your studies
Best wishes
Katherine Phillips
