Dear all,
The Issues Panel for Equity in Health [IPEH] is an initiative motivated by Alan
Williams and Raymond Illsely. IPEH is a multi-disciplinary group of people
working towards producing a monograph on various issues in the area of
inequality and equity in health. The members of IPEH other than Alan and Raymond
are:
David Blane, Roy Carr-Hill, Robert Dingwall, Raanan Gillon, Iona Heath, Rudolf
Klein, Julian Le Grand, Alan Maynard and Mark McCarthy
A draft of the work of IPEH should be ready late this year. When the draft is
ready (probably in December) it will hopefully be downloadable from the website
of the UK Health Equity Network - HEN (www.ukhen.org.uk), though it should be
noted that IPEH and HEN are independent of one another.
John Appleby has kindly arranged for us to hold a meeting to present and discuss
the work of IPEH at the Kings Fund in London on January 29th, 2001 (10am-4pm).
If you would like to attend the meeting could you let me know as soon as
possible. The size of the attendance is restricted, so it would be best to
respond very soon if you can to ensure you have a place. We'll put
late-responders on a reserve list. There will be no charge for attending the
meeting and teas/coffees/lunch will also be provided.
I'll send attendees more details of the meeting in due course.
Best wishes,
Adam
