Dear all,
East London and the City Health Action Zone are planning to set up a
website to facilitate the sharing of professional knowledge and best
practice between health and social care professionals working across the
local area. Eventually the site may cater for other groups as well (e.g.
NHS Trusts, local authorities, the public, voluntary organisations).
As part of the preparations, I am trying to find out more about similar
health-social care websites that may exist elsewhere around the country.
I'd greatly appreciate simply knowing of their existence, but I'd ideally
also like to know:
1) The URL (and whether it is open access).
2) Which particular categories of professional it is aimed at.
3) Who actually uses it most.
4) How popular/effective the site is. Whether any formal evaluation been
carried out, and if so, whether it would be possible for me to see it.
5) About the history/origins of the site.
6) Lessons learnt.
7) Contact details of anyone with whom I might be able to discuss the site
in more detail at a later date.
I'd also like to know about any sites that were considered but that did
not get off the ground, if the reasons are revealing.
Any replies greatly appreciated!
