To those interested in dendrochronology, the article in the August 12, 2000
issue of the "New Scientist" might be of value. The article concerns the
"Mary Rose", which sank in July 1545. Constructed between 1509 in 1511,
and refitted in 1528 and 1536.
The use of dendrochronology to locate the wood used in the refits is
described. It also enabled those doing the research to determine the extent
of the refit.
